Websites for accounting firms

A new website for your accounting firm, written for you and live in 2 weeks.

Up to 8 pages. We write every word from a 45-minute call and your existing site, build it to be found locally, and move your domain across. You own the domain and the code.

The review is free and commits you to nothing: a score, 5 findings and the fixes for your current site, by email within one business day.

What's included

A finished website, with the writing done.

Copy is the part partners dread, and the part that stalls a new website: an agency that hands it back to the firm leaves the project waiting on it. Here it is done for you. Every page is written from one 45-minute call and the site you already have.
Up to 8 pages
Home, about and team, services, up to three service pages, one suburb page, and contact.
We write the copy
From a 45-minute call with you and your existing site. You read it and send one round of feedback.
Built to be found locally
Technical SEO, structured data, Google Business Profile setup and Search Console, all inside the build.
The domain cutover
We move your domain to the new site.
You own it
The domain and the code are yours. The site is built with Next.js and hosted on Vercel, a fast, modern stack, and edits go through the care plan.

Timeline

Live 2 weeks after the call.

Live 2 weeks after the deposit is paid and the call is held. The 2 weeks allow 2 business days for your feedback on the copy. If feedback takes longer, launch moves by the same amount.
  1. 01

    Accept the proposal

A one-page written proposal states every term on this page. Reply to accept it and pay the 50% deposit.

  2. 02

    The 45-minute call

We talk through the firm, its services and its clients. Your existing site fills in the rest.

  3. 03

    The copy, then the build

We write every page and send it to you. You have 2 business days for one round of feedback.

  4. 04

    Live

The site goes live on your domain 2 weeks after the call, and the balance is invoiced at launch.

What you supply

  • The 45-minute call.
  • Logins for your domain and your Google Business Profile.
  • Photos, if you want your own on the site.
  • One round of feedback on the copy.

Taking 3 firms a month

The cap is real. Each site is written from its own call, and 3 is what fits in a month.

Price

One fixed price, then a care plan.

$3,500

fixed, plus GST where applicable.

50% ($1,750) on acceptance, and 50% ($1,750) at launch. Each invoice is payable within 7 days.

You own the domain and the code. The site is built with Next.js and hosted on Vercel.

Every term on this page is restated in a one-page written proposal before anything starts. Once you accept it, it is the agreement for the build.

Care plan

$300 a month

For hosting, updates, edits and Google Business Profile upkeep. The first month is free, and after that the plan is on by default. Cancel anytime, and we hand over the site and the code.

Not included

Ongoing content (new pages, articles or posts), ongoing SEO work, any guarantee of rankings or traffic, and pages beyond 8. Extra work is quoted separately.

What the review finds

One firm's review, anonymised.

A Sydney accounting practice's website, put through the same checks yours would get. Its name, suburb and anything else that would identify it are left out. The measurements are as they were on the day.

5 findings, and what we would fix

  1. 1

Clients searching “[suburb] accountant” find three other firms.

The firm is not in Google's map results or on the first page of web results for that search. Its Google profile has no reviews, shows Google's “Own this business?” link because no owner has verified it, and marks its map location as approximate.

Fix: Claim and verify the profile, correct the pin, fill in services, hours and photos with the address written as it is on the site, and ask clients for reviews: Google lists reviews among the things its local results weigh.

  2. 2

The first screen doesn't sell the firm.

On a phone, the first screen is the logo, an address block, six menu links, a client-portal button and a scrolling share-price ticker. Its one sentence names neither a service nor a kind of client, and there is no photo of anyone at the firm.

Fix: Open with who the firm helps, a photo of the team, and a button to book a call.

  3. 3

The best reasons to choose the firm are buried.

The director's photo, 25 years' experience and credentials are on screen 5 of a page that runs to 30 screens on a phone. The services start on screen 8, and the offer of an obligation-free meeting is a sentence on screen 3, not a button.

Fix: Lead with the people and the services, make the free first meeting a button, and cut the page down to what a new client needs to decide.

  4. 4

Nothing shows that other clients trust the firm.

There are no reviews or testimonials anywhere on the home page, and none on Google.

Fix: Two or three client quotes on the home page, and a review request sent to each client after their work is done.

  5. 5

Visitors on a phone wait 8 seconds for the main content.

PageSpeed Insights mobile score 52, the middle of three runs (43, 52, 54). Google counts 2.5 seconds or less as good, and the page weighs about 4 MB.

Fix: A lean rebuild with sized, compressed images, measured before launch.

Also fixed in the build: Seven H1 headings where there should be one, no structured data, links too small to tap reliably, and a broken link in the client login box.

How it was checked

  • PageSpeed Insights (pagespeed.web.dev), mobile, run three times on 6 October 2026. The middle run is reported, and the desktop score is from the same run.
  • Everything “on a phone” was measured on a 390 × 844 screen in Chrome's device emulation. A screen is 844 px of scrolling.
  • “[suburb] accountant” searched on Google in Chrome, signed in, from Sydney; Google set the area to the firm's suburb. Results depend on who searches and from where, so this is one reading, not a rank.
  • Google Business Profile read from Google Search the same day. The contact form was loaded, not submitted.
